Thomas J. Fox is originally from Kearney, Nebraska, but grew up in Council Bluffs. He graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1985 and enrolled at Creighton University, receiving his pharmacy degree from Creighton University in 1990.
Tom has a variety of pharmacy experience over the course of his pharmacy career. He began working at Johnson Pharmacy, family owned independent pharmacy in Council Bluffs, first as a pharmacy intern during school and then as a staff and nursing home pharmacist. After 6 years with Johnson Pharmacy he had the opportunity to join the staff as a hospital pharmacist at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. During this time he continued to fill in when needed at Johnson Pharmacy and also did relief work for Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Council Bluffs. After 5 years with Mercy Hospital, Tom began to realize that he enjoyed working in the community pharmacy setting and returned to Johnson Pharmacy.
In June of 1999, he began working with Rob Jackson at Medicap Pharmacy in Harlan, which eventually became Kwik Rx Pharmacy. Tom enjoys the fact that the small town pharmacy environment in Harlan enables the pharmacy staff to provide personal friendly pharmacy care for the patients of Harlan and surrounding area.
